Nebulae and Constellations (2020-2024)
Works inspired by the archetypes of the zodiac signs and their symbolic associations with the four elements (air, fire, earth and water) each represented through a corresponding colour palette.
In astrology, each zodiac sign is associated with a ruling planet. Alongside the symbolism of the four elements, I also draw inspiration from the planet that governs each sign in the creation of the work.
Some of the works may also evoke photographic images of nebulae, which I use as a source of inspiration.
Technically, the works are created on wood using non-miscible materials, allowing textures and reliefs to emerge. Each work is completed with its corresponding constellation, represented in gold leaf.
